2012 Basketball for Boys & Girls Grades 3rd-6th
Time to find a coach, find some players and start practicing for the 2nd Annual YEA Youth Basketball League! Online registration will be open soon so keep checking the website. Cost is $40 per player.
Teams must have like uniform tops with numbers on front and back. Reversible jerseys are preferred.
League will start January 28th and run thru March 3, 2012 on Saturdays and Sundays. Tournaments are tentatively scheduled for the weekends of March 10 & 11 and March 17 & 18th, 2012
Coaches and Parents are responsible for forming their own teams. This is a first come first serve basis as space is limited. All games will be played at the MVHS Gym. League is open to any youth teams, regardless of residence, who want to play! If you are interested in being a coach but have questions, let us know! Without a coach, there is no team. The YEA Board would like to invite everyone to the Wisecup Farm Museum located at 1200 Canal Street Missouri Valley for our annual meet and greet. Please mark your calendars to come visit with us at
6:30pm Tuesday October 25th, 2011.
This evening will be an opportunity to meet all of the YEA members, our families, hear about all the upcoming plans for the fields, and learn about the different things YEA does in the community to help establish the complex while also motivating the youth to live active, healthy and rewarding lives. If you are interesting in becoming a member, this would be a great time find out more information about our efforts, goals and needs. Come out, enjoy a cup of coffee, a few sweets and just visit.

Take an evening walk or drive down by the complex and almost every evening you'll see youth from our communities playing softball and baseball on the field.
Softball girls use the field on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 5:30 - 8 pm.
Baseball boys have practice and games scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.
(We'll try to post game info if coaches/parents would like to submit game information to us.)
Feel free to stop and enjoy a game, see how much difference one field makes and just imagine next year when the complex is active with more fields and a concession stand.

2nd Annual Rubber Duck Regatta
Our second annual Rubber Duck Regatta was held August 21st at the Missouri Valley aquatic center. Thank you everyone who came out to watch your ducks race down the slide. We appreciate all of the support that we received from our community!
Julie Meade was our first place winner, she received the $200 grand prize.
Patsy Hoffman came in 2nd place.
Kim Kolhoff came in 3rd place.
They all received medals and a certificate for placing in the top 3. Congratulations ladies!
